The Pain Of A Young Street Girl: by Kukoyi Taiye Flora

The Pain Of A Young Street Girl

She was stripped off her pride
Her treasure and dignity
She couldnt hold back the tears
She wept all through the night.

There was no one to help her
No one came to her aid
No one to stand for her
No one to lift her off the dirty floor.

She was dragged out of the road
Into a dirty-smelling building
With long grasses and weeds
With mosquitoes and insects.

She was pushed to the cold floor
She was stripped off her clothes
She was left in her birthday suit
She was...Oh! She was naked.

She was dragged like a bag of rice
She was stepped on like dirt
She was beaten like a dog
Like a very stubborn dog.

She was left on the floor in pain
She was left with no strength at all
She couldn 't feel her legs
She was made stiff to the floor.

It was so dark
And she was so scared
She just lay down there
And cried all through the night.

She wanted to rise up
But even as she tried
She staggered like a drunkard
And fell to the cold hard floor

She did not want to loose
To this dirty-hard floor
So she tried again and again
At last, she got up.

She tried to make a dress
Out of the of the torn clothes
To cover up her bloody body
To cover up what she was left with.

She was in so much pain
She couldnt find faith
She couldnt even find hope
She had to live with it forever.

No mother to share her pain with
No father to share her pain with
No brother,no sister
She was all alone in this  world.

She grew up with this expirence
That made her what she is
"A low self esteemed child "
Who had lost her confidence.

She wept every single night
Wishing  everything could change
Wishing she never went through it
Wishing it never happened.

Many has had similar expirence
Did they survive?
Did they get over it
I ask my self.

This pain that was felt
I wished
It never happened to her
This young street girl.
