Enugu Rangers International won Nigeria Professional Football League after 32 years of trophyless seasons.



Nigeria Professional Football League ended,2nd October, 2016.

The match attracted the light of Nigeria Deputy Senate president, Enugu state Governor, Former Super-eagle Coach- Christain Chukwu, and many dignitaries across the length & breath of the country.

Chisom Egbuchulam was man of the match,he  scored  hat-trick, as Enugu Rangers sealed their Nigeria Professional Football League title win, with a 4-0 thumping of El-Kanemi Warriors at Enugu township stadium(Know as Cathedral).
It was  their first NPFL title in 32 years.

Imama Amapakabo’s (Coach of Enugu Rangers) men could have been named champions last week, after they beat Ikorodu United in Abeokuta, but were made to wait until the last game.

The Flying Antelopes finished on 63 points from 36 matches, three points ahead of second-placed Rivers United.

Both teams will represent Nigeria in next year’s  Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, while third-placed Wikki Tourists will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
