SENATE PRESIDENT SALAM OYEJIDE COMMENCES HIS CONSULTATION ON THE EXPULSION SAGA OF THE STUDENTS' UNION PRESIDENT, FEDERAL COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, KONTAGORA, NIGER STATE
A petition was filed to the leadership of the Senate of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) - by the SUG President, FCE, Kantagora, Niger State.
This SUG President revealed he has been expelled from the school without legal justification - and demand urgent intervention of the NANS Senate.
The NANS Senate President, Comrade Oyejide Salam has considered himself dutifully challenged to stand by justice, equity and fairness. He has declared a state of emergency on this critical issue by communicating the NANS Chairman, Niger State.
He has humbly assigned to the NANS Chairman of the State the responsibility to carry out necessary investigations to ensure the scenarios and dramas that metamorphosed into the SUG President's expulsion are unfold.
It is an incontrovertible fact that this hallowed chamber called NANS Senate must accord much respect to a legal principle that states "before any legal action, we must hear the other side of the story (audi alteram partem), the NANS SP claimed.
The NANS Chairman, Niger State who has been known to be a devoted leader in his axis and beyond has made a faithful pledge to make necessary findings - and communicate the Senate the report of his findings.
The NANS Senate President, Comrade Oyejide Salam commended the NANS Chairman, Niger State for his co-operation and readiness to perform a responsibility bestowed on him by his subjects. He hereby patiently wait for the reports - to architect the next line of action.
The NANS Senate President hereby call on all students of FCE, Kantagora, Niger State to play their own roles in assisting the leadership of the NANS Senate. They should maintain perfect peace and tranquility - as fundamental consultations and investigations are on going.
ON THE UNLAWFUL DETENTION OF THE STUDENTS' UNION PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, AKURE ONDO STATE
The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State has agreed to tender her apology to the SUG President, FUTA, Ondo State. She claimed that will done as soon as the school resumes back.
The NANS Senate President, Comrade Oyejide Salam has declared he will never kowtow in her powwow. The apology should be tendered before the ultimatum limit given by the NANS Senate - as any form of non-cooperation will not be tolerated.
We shall not bow for oppression, suppression and victimization of any form or dimension. Nothing shall discourage us from installing justice on all Nigerian campuses - and enable a conducive atmosphere for justice to reign, the NANS Senate President concluded.
