About Buhari's return and health — An actor or the real Buhari?
About Buhari's return and health — An actor or the real Buhari?
The President left Nigeria for London on the 19th of January this year for a vacation and eventually received medical checkups from healthcare providers in London, then fast forward to when he extended his vacation based on the doctor's advice. Then fast forward to his return on the 10th of March, this same year.
Skeptical Nigerians are still of the opinion that the man who addressed members of his cabinet on Friday, 10th March, was not Buhari, but an actor. One reason is due to change in his voice. And some say he is more or less, just a paid look alike of the President. If you have seen the movie, "The Devil's Double", then you'd probably find it quite easy to agree with them.
Now, away from what the Skeptics think. Reports from a number of news sources such as Sahara Reporters stated that the President suffered from Crohn's disease, an inflammatory bowel disease which particularly affected his ability to eat and digest food. (Although, I find this funny, though... For a man who has budgeted over a billion for ASO rock feeding.) This should explain why the severe lost of weight, and the change in his voice. Anyone, not just healthcare professionals, can tell for sure that abdominal pain, especially if chronic, can have an effect on how you speak since it greatly affect your level of comfort.
Whether the President is still alive and actually returned in illhealth or is dead and someone is paid to act in his place, one cannot be so sure, as both are possible... And one should not be so quick to jump into conclusion...
We can recall that something similar did happen under the government of Yar'Adua... But that shouldn't be any proof that the President is actually dead. There really is no need for any conspiracies.
