*CHOICE*...
Choice is indeed the greatest gift of humanity. For indeed the measure of life is in the quality of decisions a specie is capable of making. Thus man becomes a god among all other species in the ecosystem for it is he alone who has the highest and most evolved form of decision making power. Thence, he dominates over all other forms of existence.
Yet this power which man holds could become his greatest undoing. For although we have the ability to make our own choices we still are at war with ourselves on a daily bases as to what stream of events we are to choose.
On a typical day we are faced with an infinite number of choices; the choice of what to eat, the choice of what to wear, the choice of how to manage our time, the choice of who we should and shouldn't communicate with, indeed there are countless number of choices we have to deal with on a daily bases.
Sometimes we envy the machines who have zero control of their choices. For they only obey whatever set of instructions they are prompted with. They never experience the challenge of having to choose, they just do as they are told without asking questions. Oh how easy that feels.
I've learnt that we do not stop making choices just because of the difficulty it entails or the mistakes we procure as a result of making the wrong choices. We may fail and we may make terrible choices but maturity demands that we keep on making choices and learn from our past experiences for therein lies the highest form of life in itself.
So here's my admonition;
Find yourself a mentor who's highly successful at whatever you want to become, make sure you pick the best in that field...
Scrutinize all the choices they've made to get to where they are and simply pick out all the best choices that brought the right results...
Make the exact same choices they made and you'll get the exact same result they got...
Save yourself from failure and the wrong stream of events!!!
Cheat the foolish!!!
Emulate the wise!!!
Make the right choices!!!
Pay the price they did and you'll be grateful you did!!!
